Club Rules &
Code of Conduct

The following Codes, Rules, and Standards shall apply to all persons on Sonoma County Alano Club (SCAC) premises (this includes off premise events). A person engaging in the following may lose some or all membership privileges and may be temporarily or permanently banned from the SCAC depending on SCAC Board of Directors decision.

CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. HAVING ALCOHOL, NON-PRESCRIBED DRUGS, MARAJUANA, OR WEAPONS

  2. VIOLENT, AGGRESSIVE OR ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR

  3. SPOKEN, WRITTEN, OR SYMBOLIC THREATS (this includes; direct threats, indirect threats, veiled threats, or conditional threats)

  4. HARASSMENT (this includes sexual harassment, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and intention to torment, scare, threaten, or embarrass someone)

  5. DISCRIMINATION (prejudicial treatment of people on the grounds of sexual orientation, age, weight, ethnicity, religion, or politics)

  6. VERBAL DISTURBANCE (this includes offensive language, swear words, or rude words)

  7. INAPPROPRIATE USE OF THE CLUB (this includes using toilet room as a wash room, charging large batteries, and sleeping).

  8. SOLICITING FUNDS (this includes panhandling, campaigning, marketing, promoting or soliciting business not approved by the SCAC)

  9. DEFACING of PROPERTY (this includes vandalism, graffiti, trash dumping, or inappropriate urination)

 

RULES & STANDARDS

  • Non-Alano Club members are permitted in the club only during the half hour before and half hour following 12-step meetings they are attending.

  • Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Alano Club staff will not supervise children.

  • Parking is permitted in designated areas only or your vehicle is subject to tow.

  • Smoking is permitted in designated area only.

  • The club may not be used for sleeping at any time.

  • Shoes, shirts, and appropriate attire must be worn at all times.

  • Animals are not permitted on the premises except for SCAC pre-approved dogs.
